Welcome and thank you for checking out the Fretboard Fundamentals Course!
My entire problem when learning the fretboard was overwhelm; not knowing what the practice, feeling like there was just too much to practice and absolutely not enough time to practice it all.
Over the years I've been able to shape and form this system for myself, which I'm very proud to now share with you.
In this course I will give you an entire system for learning the fretboard, how to apply theory to the guitar, a 12-week program with daily exercises and an entire section dedicated to just music theory, including intervals, chords and arpeggios, functional harmony, drop voicings (2, 3, 2 & 4, ...) and more.
You'll have access to an exercise workbook, video transcripts and an online community where you'll be able to ask questions and get feedback.
At the end of course you'll be able to play in all 12 keys over the entire fretboard, actually know which notes you're playing and what they're function is and not feel stuck in any one position.
I will provide you with a learning strategy and a learning schedule. Just like you would follow a fitness program, you just have to follow the plan laid out for you.
After that you'll be able to implement anything you want, because you'll be equipped with all of the necessary knowledge and skills to do so.
Here's to becoming better guitarists and musicians.
Cheers,
Timothy
Your Instructor
I first picked up the guitar because of Ritchie Blackmore. Then I became obsessed with Metallica and Dream Theater. Then I decided to study jazz. After finishing my masters in jazz guitar, I went on to co-found Edge Effect, a music production company and study orchestration. Now I help run the YouTube channel Sharp Eleven Music, together with Jorre Reynders (the sax guy).
I guess my point is I really like music and I've been studying it (and working in it) for a long time.
